Submission Guidelines:
The P.S. Literary Agency represents both fiction and nonfiction.
For nonfiction, we are currently seeking:
- History
- Politics
- Current Affairs
- Business (Management & Leadership, Finance, etc.)
- Health & Fitness (targeting adults and children)
- Gambling (blackjack, poker, roulette, etc.)
For fiction, we are currently seeking:
- Literary (with a commercial angle)
- Commercial mainstream
- Women's fiction
- Mysteries & Thrillers (Legal, Medical, Political, etc.)
- Chick lit (paranormal, mystery, young adult, etc.)
- Romance (suspense, contemporary, historical, etc.)
- Young Adult/Middle Grade (must be high concept/commercial)
Please limit your query to one page and include the following:
- Paragraph One - Introduction: Include the title and category of your work (i.e.
fiction or nonfiction and topic), an estimated word count and a brief, general introduction.
- Paragraph Two - Mini-synopsis: A concise summary or overview of your work.
- Paragraph Three - Writer’s bio: Tell us a little bit about yourself and your background (awards and
affiliations, etc.).
Tips:
- Make your submission as brief and to the point as possible. You should not submit a full-length
manuscript/proposal unless requested.
- Always let us know if you are making multiple queries to other agents.
- If submitting by e-mail, do not send attachments. Please use text within the body of
your email in a clear and readable font, double-spaced.
- If submitting by mail, please include a SASE in order to receive a reply.
- We do not return submissions. It is essential that you keep a copy of your work.
We accept submissions either by mail or e-mail.
We do not accept phone queries.

Please Note: We normally respond within 4-6 weeks. However, the process may
take longer depending on the volume of submissions we may be reviewing at a particular time. Please
do not call to check on the status of your submission - if you have a question or concern with
regard to your submission, e-mail is the best way to inquire.
We do not charge reading fees.
